HOPE provides water wells to families in need

HOPE International Development Agency is a non-profit international development organization that was founded in 1975. Based in British Columbia, Canada, HOPE has offices in the UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. Working in Africa, Asia, and the Americas in such countries as Ethiopia, Cambodia, India and the Dominican Republic, HOPE undertakes and supports people-oriented projects.

These projects empower people and communities in need. Many projects focus on the provision of clean and safe water, sustainable living, primary health and sanitation, and the environment. The projects of HOPE are accomplished by local staff teams comprised entirely of nationals of the countries in which we work, combined with the help of volunteers and the generosity of people here who care.

HOPE's mandate is to provide appropriate and sustainable support to people in developing countries where natural disaster, war or social upheaval has destroyed the abilities of local communities to sustain themselves by traditional methods. Every project we do is initiated by requests from local representatives.

In 2006, HOPE International Development Agency Australia Ltd was established as a non-profit organisation based in Sydney, Australia.
